Summer Medical Student Fellowship

Poster Presentation

This is a six-week fellowship, established through an endowment provided by parents from Ridgefield, CT. The fellowship brings one or two medical students who have just finished their first year of medical school to the Lyme and Tick-Borne Diseases Research Center each summer. During the six week program, students participate in patient contact, didactic presentations, critiquing articles, observing senior clinicians conducting initial evaluations, and complete a written project. The goal is to learn about Lyme disease and about the evaluation of patients whose symptoms fall at the border of neurology, psychiatry, immunology, and infectious disease. A stipend is provided for the six weeks.

How to Apply

Interested students should send a CV attached to an email to Jose Hernandez at jose.hernandez@nyspi.columbia.edu. Applications will be reviewed each year between Dec 1st and Jan 31st.
